My Son (15mos) was late to the walking game. Many of his friends who are just a few days older or younger than he is had been walking for months by the time he took his first steps at 12mos. He is now what I would call a fairly steady walker.
Seeing him toddle around, dance and even attempt to run, before sprawling on the floor because he's running too fast, brings joy to my heart.
It makes me think of walking with Christ. How small we feel sometimes, but how the smallness can be a security. My son is completely assured that when we are walking together, I will be there if the fall is too hard. I will be there to hold his hand if we walk over new territory that is rough. I will be there to warn him not to stray too far.
How blessed we are to have these similar securities in our Father.
